I spent yesterday redesigning Selfish. I've gone for a magazine style look using only teasers and just one featured post, which itself is really just a teaser. The featured post links to what is only a thread designed to be an ongoing conversation.
I've installed a DoFollow plugin but I haven't really advertised that fact other than a quick mention. I'm almost convinced that I need to follow my original plan and link out like crazy to my old networks sites by way of a thank you for all the support they gave me at TMCW. And anyone who posts will be rewarded with a follow link - albeit it's value won't be too significant.
What I've come to realise is that I've basically alienated my very modest readership from my Teach My Children days. It was always going to be an issue when I started withdrawing from mainstream blogging.
Now that I just dip in an out of blogging and Twitter my ramblings don't generate much interest and thats fine but I feel it's important to maintain a presence, or at least have somewhere that people can find me easily.
I still have plans to get back into mainstream blogging but there are other things I want to do first. I have a few background sites that are nearly ready to launch and the rest of my time will be spent on eBay. For the same input of time, eBay pays massively more than blogging.
