Awesome Weekend

One of my 4 children had a birthday over the weekend so I've been busy in the best possible way.

I ran late with getting the latest post out at Mister Good Guy but it's a damn good one in my humble opinion.

It's good because I've got back to the focus of Good Guy and today I reverted to highlighting charities as the lead in to my daily update posts. It's even more awesome than that though, because I've also started using RSS feed widgets for each of the sites on the Mona Lisa. I inserted all 29 into today's post, but I can insert inividual feed widgets into posts... for example:

Awesome People Awesome Sites

Part 1. Because there are loads of awesome people and awesome sites on the Mona Lisa Million.

I'm offering sections of a giant Mona Lisa picture for sponsorship. The sponsor gets me shouting about them and the great thing is I'll be donating a big chunk of the profits to good causes.

One In A Mona Lisa Million

There's an awesome guy I know called Dave who has a great idea. He's selling of bits of the Mona Lisa and half the profits raised will go to the aid effort for Haiti. I told you, did I? That's pretty awesome.

Dave hopes to auction off over 900 sections of the Mona Lisa and in doing so raise 1 million US dollars.

The benefit to the aucton winers is they get their site promoted om Mister Good Guy with some very friendly linking techniques. Unfortunatelty most bloggers have no idea about links and linking so the some extent this project takes it out of their hands and does it all for them.

the Mona Lisa is only the first image Dave has in mind to auction, and at some stage he plans to roll out a new project using a different image and always with the intention of sharing the profits with good causes.

Speaking of the Mona Lisa here's a great little YouTube video showing the Mona Lisa being painted in MS Paint.

Enjoy:
